The IDP SMART-51 GDPR is a professional-grade, direct-to-card dye-sublimation printer built with a robust metal frame and advanced security features to meet modern GDPR compliance and secure issuance requirements.
Key Features & Security Enhancements
- GDPR-enhanced security: Includes an input card hopper lock, ribbon lock, and a Kensington-style chassis lock to prevent unauthorised access to printed cards, used ribbons, and theft of the printer itself. These physical safeguards ensure data isn't compromised or removed when the printer is unattended.
- SmartMark overlay: Adds a customisable transparent watermark overlay (text, image, logo) visible to the naked eye, helping to deter and identify counterfeit or cloned cards.
- Optional UV printing: Uses UV ink visible only under UV light, adding another layer of security against forgery.
